RE: Windows Mail - Hiding Addressees

Sorry, I was having a senior moment. The group has long since been created. In the next mailing, I will put the group in the blind carbon copy spot. Another benefit to that will probably be that spam filters might cause fewer problems. Thanks, guys.

RE: Just A Drop

Judging from the responses, I'd say the item is not a big seller.

RE: Watch carefully which CG you stay at in Tennessee

When the guy said "technically," I decided it was time to move on. There's nothing technical about being homeless or not being homeless. Since I've never had the problem, I don't have a dog in this fight.

RE: Disaster Averted!!! Check them knobs!!!

BENT ARROW, some units are simply alarms. My detector cuts off the propane at the tank if it's activated. It's a more expensive detector but I think it's safer. In ArmySFCRet's case, it would have prevented the MH from filling up with propane.

RE: Windows Mail - Hiding Addressees

jbarry, unfortunately, I have Vista. Outlook (regular and express)don't work with Vista. Windows "Mail" is the replacement. Even when I imported my old Outlook files, I had to format some of them to work in Vista.

RE: Windows Mail - Hiding Addressees

rv2go, I'm using a group mailing address that contains all the others. There is no way I use the BCC method because it would involve entering each adressee each time I sent out an update.

Windows Mail - Hiding Addressees

Is there a way to hide the addresses in a group mailing in Windows Mail(Outlook's replacement)? I'm not wanting to keep anything from anyone but I mail out a legal update to almost a hundred law enforcement agencies in Georgia and it takes up a lot of room when it's printed by the recipient.

RE: Bluetooth mouse/Vista problem

I'm using a Logitech wireless mouse that's 2.4 GHz. It has 6-buttons, all programmable plus a scrolling wheel. I love it. The AA battery lasts a long time.

RE: GA Camping World Closing (please read)

I am on CW's mailing list and I received a note in the mail today that said the Snellville location was being moved. Of course the flyer only showed 3 Georgia locations where they had 4 before. I guess relocation means closed. That means they took the remaining motorhome, one fluorescent light, a GPS that someone returned and some black tank deodorant south to Byron, GA so they could double their inventory.

RE: Generator Tuneup

OK, wa8yxm, you opened the door. What constitutes a major drop? With no load, my generator shows about 125 volts. When I turn on the AC, it drops to about 116. When I add the microwave, it drops to about 112. If I add the coffee maker, it drops to about 110. At this point, I'm approaching the upper limits of wattage. I don't run all three very often but when I do, the generator seems to be handling it well. All measurements are taken with a Kill-A-Watt. Are those voltage drops within acceptable tolerances?

RE: Generator Tuneup

I'm no mechanic but that ain't no tune-up. That an inspection with an oil change. Unless it's a diesel, you've also got spark plug(s) and all the goodies that go with them.

RE: New laptop and download into with no 9 pin connector.

I had one of the first Toshiba laptops without a serial port. At that time, the adapter cost me $69.00. Things have certainly changed.

RE: Tennessee Rest Areas

I stopped at one just outside Knoxville, and met a nice young man playing a banjo. He was looking for his cousin. I go the heck out of there , FAST ! You didn't need to hurry. My cousin is a real nice guy when he stays on his meds.

RE: Tennessee Rest Areas

Yeah, there areas where the road is falling apart. I visit the grandkids in Bay City, Michigan, several times a year. I-75 is the only real way to get there. Tennessee is the perfect time to stop, stretch and rest a little while but apparently your state doesn't care about the rest of us. Because of the rest stops (or lack of them), I try not to stop at all in Tennessee anymore. If they won't help me, I won't help them. Sorry.

Tennessee Rest Areas

Hey, Tennessee Folks. It seems like the rest areas on I-75 in Tennessee have been closed for years. Are they ever going to open again or was this some kind of cost-cutting measure to just eliminate them?

RE: Wireless printer through Blue Tooth or WIFI?

My Lexmark printer is hooked through the Linksys router and works great. I've never had an occasion to use Bluetooth for printing but I suspect the range is limited. I can take the laptop to the MH (about 60 yards away) and still use the router for Internet access and wireless printing. I don't think Bluetooth has that great a range.

RE: Problems getting to the forums

It seems like there's been a little extra down time the past week or so but generally, my problems have been minimal. I've seen it much worse in the past.

RE: Urban Legends

Too hot or not hot enough. Two million dollars or $1.75. Between her legs or resting on top of her head. Who the h**l cares? It's over and done with and I seriously doubt the legal scholars are reading this forum looking for future trial strategy.
